Based on novel by Kaminaga Manabu. Shinrei Tantei Yakumo (Psychic Detective Yakumo) tells the story of a college student, Saitou Yakumo, who was born with two different eye colors. His red (left) eye enables him to see ghosts and spirits. Yakumo believes ghosts and spirits are bound to earth because of a certain "cause" (e.g. their killer getting away clean, etc.) and by eliminating that "cause" the spirits will be able to rest in peace. Finding an unlikely friendship in Ozawa Haruka after her request for help, Yakumo, with Haruka, begins to unravel mysteries behind the dead.

Saitou Yakumo:Main character
A college stusdent who was born with two different eye colors which is can make him enable to see and communicated with ghosts and spirits.He doesn't care what other people think about him,however he has a kind heart and will help whomever comes to ask him for help.
Ozawa Haruka:Main Character
A girl that in the same university with Yakumo.She met with Yakumo when she want to help her friend,from the demon that possesing her friend.Her sister is already dead when she and her sister playing together,and she blaming herself,but Yakumo reassures that it wasn't her fault.
